Vancouver Sun Run
I was involved with the SportMedBC Sun Run InTraining clinic in Pitt Meadows. As a run group leader, I provided inspiration and leadership to new runners, and helped to encourage participants to stick to their training schedule. Unfortunately, I was unable to run the 10k race, as I had a calf injury in my right leg, but I still consider my involvement with the clinic as a success, in that many of my friends were able to complete something which prior, they felt was impossible.
Pitt Meadows Canada Day 8km Run — July 1, 2010
Staged by Athletes in Kind, this was the first race that I was officially able to run this year. Green-lighted by my physiotherapist, I completed the 8km race in roughly 43 minutes. A personal best race pace of about 5:30/km.
